The Children & Women's Education Support Project is a program that provides professional education and practical support so that women and children can create a healthy future with dreams and hopes even in poor environments.

Women's Sewing Education Program

Purpose

In poverty-stricken areas, women are often responsible for the livelihood of their families. In particular, women-centered household economic activities are common in poor areas of Myanmar and India. We provide sewing education focusing on clothing production techniques to help women earn a stable and sustainable income, reflecting these regional and cultural characteristics.

Progress

  • Myanmar: 10 projects have been ongoing since 2019.

  • India: Providing sewing training as vocational education for women.

Education Program for Children and Youth

English education for teenagers at a sewing factory in Yangon, Myanmar.

  • Purpose: To provide English education to teenagers who work in sewing factories and have no dreams, instilling them with confidence and hope.

  • Target: Teenagers working in sewing factories.

Support for a kindergarten in Nyaung-Ayet, Myanmar.

  • Purpose: Reopen a kindergarten that was closed for a long time to provide learning opportunities to children who have not had the opportunity to receive education.

  • Beneficiaries: Preschool children in Nyaung Oo and Maung Kyone villages.

Operation of War Orphanage in the Shitpi area of Myanmar.

  • Purpose: Provide a safe home for orphans who have lost their parents to war and have nowhere to go, and help them become self-reliant through vocational and formal education.

  • Target: War-affected orphans across Myanmar.

Operating Gagkopur and Sonapu Education Centers in Mumbai, India

  • Purpose: To help prepare children for the future by providing regular education and care to children born in the red-light district where women victims of human trafficking have settled and who have difficulty receiving public education.

  • Target: Children born and raised in the red-light districts of Ghatkopar and Sonaapu in Mumbai.

Establishment and operation of the Sona Gachi Education Center in India

  • Purpose: To provide children of women who have been trafficked in Sona Gachi, India's largest red-light district, with the right education and environment so that they can build a hopeful future for themselves.

  • Beneficiaries: Children born in the red-light district of Sona Gachi in Kolkata, India.

Scholarship for Dalit students in India

  • Purpose: To provide scholarships to outstanding students who are at risk of dropping out of school due to financial difficulties, so that they can continue their studies and not lose their dreams and hopes.

  • Target: Outstanding Dalit students at risk of dropping out of school.
