
Emergency Relief Project
Emergency relief is a relief project that helps people who have lost their livelihood and are in danger of survival due to sudden crises such as earthquakes, typhoons, and famines, as well as war and conflict, by providing them with basic necessities and medical support in a timely manner to minimize damage and restore stability to their lives.
Who is eligible for emergency relief?
Emergency relief is targeted at children, their families, the poor, and marginalized social minorities who are most affected by natural disasters, war, and conflict. In particular, the main targets are those whose lives are in danger due to drought, floods, civil war, etc.
Main emergency relief activities of Tiny Seeds
Support for families affected by the civil war in Myanmar to become self-reliant
Purpose: To support families in Myanmar who have lost their homes and livelihoods in the country's civil war to become self-reliant in the long term.
Activities:
We conducted interviews with seven families affected by the civil war and implemented a customized business project for each family.
We provided KRW 600,000 per family (KRW 50,000 per month for 12 months) to help them become self-reliant through one-on-one mentoring.
Emergency support for extremely poor families affected by the Myanmar civil war
Purpose: We provided emergency food and daily necessities to poor families who lost their breadwinners in the prolonged civil war in Myanmar and are struggling to survive.
Activities:
We provided food and daily necessities to about 100 families in Maung Cheung, Nyaung Gaet, Sipita, and Kanin San villages.
Providing emergency daily necessities to families affected by the cyclone in Myanmar.
Purpose: To help poor families affected by the cyclone that hit Myanmar in the first half of 2023 by providing them with emergency supplies to overcome the crisis.
Activities:
Emergency supplies were provided to about 100 families in the Ayeyarwady and Mandalay regions.
Rice and daily necessities were provided to the villages of Nyaungkyet, Maukchung, Kanin, Sipita, Yangon Phyu, and Tringla.
Emergency relief and support for widows affected by the floods in India.
Purpose: Emergency relief supplies and daily necessities were provided to poor families and widows who lost their homes due to the floods in India to support their survival and stability.
Activities:
Emergency supplies and medical supplies were provided to poor families and widows in flood-affected areas.
